Frame Base Unit
As well as the model xlh-2 weld shear, Magnum manufacturing
also manufactures a Model XLE weld shear that has an electric
powered 12 volt machine that hydraulically powers a hand pump
and valve bank. The model xlm-2 gasoline powered weld shear has
a Briggs and Stratton 3 1/2 horse power motor. The 3000 psi hydraulic
cylinders are attached to frames which are drawn together. When
incorporated with shearing dies, the shears pinch off the excess
metal from the railroad track after the rails are welded together.
The shear is held in place by rollers which rotate under the
ball of the rail and prevent the shear dies from rising. |
